SUMMARY:TTOC Meeting
DESCRIPTION:We are meeting Monday Jan 14th at 530 pm to talk about the statewide campaign for tenant protections\, including review of the mission\, vision\, values of a coalition we’ve been invited to participate in. Attached is a draft of that. I will have updates after a meeting with these folks on Thursday in Seattle. The second page of the document is a draft from the Pierce County Democrats\, which was created with input from us. So we could also review that. What tenant rights and protections do we want to see at the state level? What is our platform for housing justice?\n\n2. What will a grassroots campaign to push for these things look like? How can we get more Tacoma tenants involved and build our movement?\n\n3. How will we participate in coalition with groups across the state (Tenants Union\, WA Community Action Network\, WA Low Income Housing Alliance\, Democratic Socialists of America\, etc)?\n\n4. Concrete next steps\, including how we introduce this statewide campaign at a public meeting (hopefully happening Jan 23\, depending on room availability)
